You don't need a double deep pan. Get it if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

 

While on the subject... Where can I get a decent single deep pan? And if possible, one that has a bung in it for a trans temp gauge sender.

 

Adding fluid capacity to an overtaxed stock transmission made me feel warm and fuzzy, or maybe it was just fuzzy

Just get one with a drain plug. And perhaps a tranny temperature port.

 

Double deep has a trans temp port in the pan. always go deeper

 

I got a Mag hytec single deep pan from Xtreme Diesel. It was reasonably priced and had the port for a trans. temp. sender and included a new gasket and hardware.
My next step is to get the remote mount trans. filter kit
