Default 2004 cap on a 2002?

Will a 2004 cap fit on my 2002? The 2004 has a 6'4" and it's pouring out so I haven't gone out to check but I am pretty sure the 2002 is but I am not sure on the width? I figured someone here would know off hand. Any ideas?

im assuming you mean a bed cap, the lengths are the same, i think the widths of the 04 is a little different then the 02, not 100 percent on that though, try it and let us know

Shortbeds are different (2002 is longer than a 2004) but not sure about longbeds. Let us know.

It'll "fit" but not fit if you know what I mean If its for part time use I wouldn't worry about it, but if its perminate and care how it looks keep looking for the right year...

I dont thinks its going to fit very well - the sheetmetal is different and the box is a bit wider on the 04 I believe..

Thanks! This saved me about 60 miles and a ton of disappointment!

The 04 tapers a lot more front to back... My old mans ladder rack had to be stretched by the cab and chopped down in the back in order to fit his new truck.
