Boost Leak
When I was running my JR Smarty, I set timing at 4 which was more than stock. It did help a bunch. So I'm thinking the timing is messed up in the ECM, so I got a reflash this afternoon. If that don't help, looks like intercooler boots?? Speaking of which, if they were swelling, I can't see how that would affect anything.
I watched my oem boots when my truck was on the dyno and I was very shocked to watch them swell up maybe another thord the size...the one tween the charcer and inlet to the intercooler got way lite in color and I bet I coulda popped it with a pin real easy.................I went right home and ordered up some good after market boots....what a PITA them are to install
Or could it be my mega super ultra tight converter is dragging things down??
I hope my stockers last another couple of weeks.

Well my mileage went up from 14 to 19 after the injectors, so that rules them out. I was thinking that the MAP/AIT might be messing with me cause it caused a limp mode 6 times last year. A new one is $164, and I hope there is a way to rule it out with a Star Scan.
To turn that compressor it takes a driving force. Think about it like driving a nail in board While the board is on a bed versus that same board on the floor. It would take a massive amount of extra force to drive it on the bed because of the give in the mattress. Your mushy boots are acting just like the mattress.
Could be the boots and it also could be from a bad MAP/IAT sensor. I measured the resistance, and it's only reading 174 ohms. It's suppose to be 300-90K. So I'm thinking it's telling the ECM it's not reading a lot of boost and it's causing more fuel to be added to compensate. Hope that makes sense.
MAP/IAT sensor checked out and I replaced the o-ring on it. Had the ECM updated, figuring a timing issue. Done that along with replacing the intake horn gaskets, sealed the boost bolt and barb fitting with thread tape, and tightened all the clamps.
I'm going to leak test everything again as I got stuff for a new leak tester.

I got other serious problems. I replaced all my boots with oilfield vac hose (takes a sledge hammer to crush it) today and I can still spank 30 lbs too damn easy and my pyro hit 1200 a little harder, but it still hits. IDK, can my gauge be way off or are my injectors crapped out again?? I'm losing patience and interest on this here project.
