Idler Pulley Meltdown
#22
I took the pulley off tonight and took a look at it.
The bearing is a NTN brand with part number 6203LAX30.
It's a 6203 size and the LAX30 depict seals, etc.
McMaster Carr has a suitable replacement 6203 with double seals, an acceptable temperature, load, and rpm range. Part number 5972k44, cost is $5.34 McMaster-Carr
A little more attractive than Chryslers $245.00 for the bearing 4429639.
If you want an overkill bearing get the stainless steel 6153K77 from McMaster for $36.38 I can handle -40° to 300°F and 17000 rpm.

While there is no deductible on the 3/36, the 5/100 has a $100 deductible...

Any Cummins dealer can get you that part...if your looking online, then I can't help you.
