Those are 40's on dana 60s, but we usually run a 38-42 on toyota axles as long as there are longs in the front.

Ive got a 77 toyota 2wd (body before any US 4wds) thats getting toyota axles, v6 wide rear, and Im looking at running about a 40" with 4.40 gears, dual cases with the 4.7 gears in the rear case. Taking it to the shop this week to start cutting it up for 4-link rear, 3-link front, and probably gonna dove the front and rear of it.

Ill take some tonight, towed it to the shop last night and started digging into it some. Acquired a front and rear axle, transmission, 2 transfer cases with the dual case adapter, about half the joints I need to link the front, and a set of coil springs for the front.

Do it!!!! Lol, my first toyota was an 87 4runner, I love those trucks. It would be pretty easy and cheap since yours is an 84 and already a solid front axle.

are you on pirate? i though i saw your avatar last time i was on... but it could have been diffrent.

my toy is an 87 and i like that body style... the only prob is there are soo many of them. as far as the 85's and down if you have one great but with all the sas kits no real need to pay straight axle price when you can make one just as easy.
