Cummins Leaving Dodge?
#11
Someday ford may offer the Cummins Option but Dodge And Cummins is Tightly Knitted ,
Ford Had 5-6 Diesels to pick from for the upcoming F150 , They liked the Cummins the best , Dodge told Cummins , That they wanted exclusive rights to them , Cummins Said OK Big D sorry Ford no deal ,
Ford Was upset , And said OK we will make our own , Meanwhile Navistar was baffled as they presented a small diesel as well and Ford didnt pick them ,
Ford started development on its own diesel ,,, Navistar Sued Ford for breach of contract because they were "Fords Diesel" , They went in a big room and talked and kept it out of court , But Navistar Diesels Contract will be up and Ford will Put there own diesel in the big boys too unless they can reach a new agreement , That will include Navistar pays the bill for TSB's related tot he engine , Since Ford has been getting raped picking up the tap for there mistakes
To a Ford Diesel Im sure it will be Awesome
There you go , When you want All Diesel information You'll Come to the Source For all Diesels

Navistar sues Ford (again) regarding upcoming F-150 diesel engine

Wow, talk about a strained relationship! With so much money passing hands between Ford and Navistar, you might think they would find a way to negotiate a deal regarding their diesel engine partnership(s). You would be right, assuming you think that starting yet another lawsuit is a way to patch things up. That's right... another lawsuit. This one is still about diesel truck engines, but instead of the large 6.4 liter Power Stroke, this one cites a smaller 4.4-liter diesel engine slated for the F-150 truck in 2009 or 2010. Navistar has been Ford's long-time supplier of diesel engines that carry the "Power Stroke" moniker for Ford, and Navistar is claiming that if Ford goes to market with the 4.4-liter engine, it would constitute a breach of contract. At this point, it seems unclear whether Navistar is claiming to have designed the engine in question, or if it believes it had a contract to do so, but either way, things could get even messier between the two companies.

To recap: Ford started having problems with its (flame-throwing) Power Stroke engines from Navistar. Ford stopped paying Navistar for the engines, because it decided Navistar owed it for warranty work incurred from the last-gen Powerstroke diesel. Ford sued Navistar. Navistar stopped shipping engines. A Judge intervened, told Navistar to start shipping engines again and Ford to start paying. Ford started work on its own diesel engine. Navistar sued Ford for $2 billion. Navistar sues Ford again, this time for "hundreds of millions of dollars" – which is today's sad story. I think that about covers it.
I Said that Navistar Sued ford but kept it out of court , and mentioned the lack of Support for TSB Services , but failed to point out that Ford also sued them for that reason even Tho i stated that if they Reup the contracts for the big trucks they will have to negotiate whos responsible for TSB work

Yep it's that time of the year again for this one to start flyin around. I been on these boards for over a decade now and this was goin around the first year I was here and it will probably still be goin around when I'm dead and buried and not active on em anymore.
The other will be the the one about everybody boycotting one gas company at a time to force them to drop the price of fuel. Should still be a few more months on it though. I think it's a spring time thread.
