The straight 6 makes them easy to work on and everything is easy to get to. My 99 has 250k on the ticker and aside from the notorious front end, runs like a new one. I love my ISB but a common rail will give you more room inside and a bigger base HP/TQ to build from.

i personally HATE my factory paint! everything else but the axles on my 07' have been replaced. not a complaint in the world about the powerplant









..... except it doesnt run 11's yet

 

This is my first diesel truck that I have owned. Loving life every since I ditched the gasser.

I would have to agree the auto trans is the weak spot, but had to get the auto at the time when I bought the truck. No complaints so far.
