Default Coolant System Q

OK is it normal for the system to be pressure up about a minute after I first start it? God I hope it is, cause it will only mean one thing if it isn't.

The gauges in these trucks are notoriously inaccurate. The guys that actually count on the oil pressure gauge install an after market pressure gauge. It's a cheap, simple install. The sending unit's also go bad on them quite often and will quit showin pressure all together.

Just re-read your post, and I'm confused, no comments from the peanut gallery either. Are you talkin about your water temp gauge or your oil pressure gauge here. I see the title is about coolant but in the thread you talk about pressure and the only stock pressure gauge is oil.
