Intercooler Boots
I got the set pictured and couldn't be happier with em. Best of all they were the only ones I could find in Black and not all the pretty colors like Blue and Red. Colors just don't look right under my otherwise stock colored engine bay.
I got the blue silicone set from Piers 4-5 years ago and they work perfect.............PITA to change em though but the trick is to use hairspray on the inners so they slip on good and easy then set up like a wemmenz hairdooo
several years ago I put a set of the Piers hoses on my 96; were a pain to install and couldn't get the passenger side tube to line up quite right but they sealed good...worked a LOT better than the OEM boot that I blew a hole in
I have Mr. Bobs And ive never had any trouble with them was tuff to install .
I see pulling videos all the time of Cummins Guys Poping a boot , 99% of the time its the one that goes into the air horn and it dont blow it it pulls it off as the engine torques it lifts the left hand (Drivers Side) of the engine and pulls the boot off , this is where the Spring Clamps help and good motor mounts
Dont buy a kit unless it has spring clamps with it
