Jay has the first step right for us to be able to help. I would start by pulling the power to the Edge and see if it will start without it being hooked up. If it does then you need to re-trace all the steps and see what connection is bad or what you forgot to tighten up. I would also recommend using dilithium grease in all the connections and using the battery for the power and grounds to the box. Doing this means that it will stay on all the time but it draws very little juice from the battery and if it really bothers you just turn the switch on the box off. This also ensures that you have the best source of clean power and ground available anyplace on your truck.

Glad to see ya join us here. Keep us up on whats goin on and we will help you get this figured out, no problem.

Open up the fuel filter cannister and see if it is full of fuel. I'm bettin your stock lift pump is gone and so it won't prime itself right. It might be movin enough fuel but not enough to displace all the air in the system. Even if it still works you will have to have somethin better then a stock ASAP with this new chip. The first time your really get on it with that Attitude turned up your gonna run the VP44 dry cause the stock pump even at it's finest won't flow enough fuel to supply it.

If the cannister is full then start workin your way forward to each fuel fitting in the line, loosen it, bump the starter and when it starts flowin through it close it off and move to the next one.

Their is really nothin on the Attitude itself that would prevent the truck from starting. It may not run right but it would start and throw codes.

Signature: Sorry about not explainin this before. If you go into your user options, someplace in there is a place for your signature. This is a description of your truck and what you've done to it. It helps us so that we know what else you have or have not done to the truck that might be causing your problems. If you look at the bottom of the first post from each person here, for most of us you will see what kind of info were lookin for. This also keeps you from having to type it all out everytime.

uncle bubba i replaced the lift pump , blead the lines it runs and good ? the truck fuel pressure drops to one and stay's there when your hot rodding it, and then the more you lift on the throttle the fuel pressure goes to 6 then 7 then back to ten . do you know of any direct replacement fuel pressure that would do the job. Thanks again for your help

Nothin cheap I'm afraid. This Bombin stuff is a blast but once you start you can't stop. Your truck won't let ya. Each Modification you do is going to lead to new weak spots that have to be fixed. In your case with this Attitude you are gonna need a strong pump that will move massive amounts of fuel, injectors that will get that fuel to the engine and an in take air filter that will let enough air in to burn it. After that it's gonna need a new exhaust to release enough heat to keep from melting it. You can not do any ofthese things and just keep your truck as is but you will see very little results from the Attitude until they are done and you will be doing harm to your truck when you do play.

Personally I have been through a 1/2 dozen different pumps and configurations before I found a belt drive Lift Pump that has served me very well. The best options out there right now aside frm this are the FASS and Air Dog. If it were me I would use the Air Dog, just the pump and not the air seperator system if I hadn't gone with this belt drive.

Anytime that fuel pressure drops below about 5psi you are risking your $1200 VP44 so be carefull until you get something installed. And if you are using the stock air filter and exhaust keep a carfull eye on your Pyro. It's gonna heat up fast when you play.

Almost forgot one more thing that will need attention before your done. A new clutch. If your runnin an OEM, I assume by now replacment clutch that is not gonna hold this new found power for very long.

Have you had this truck long or is it a new purchase.

Hey Bubba, you put the pump together yourself or did you get a kit, like from Glacier?
I've got Glaciers and like it alot,I bought a airdog from Luke and it made moms truck run alot better.
Heck,I got 16.5 MPG hauling my truck on a car trailer, with her 2500,I didn't think that was too bad.

If the airtex luke is testing holds the quad and injectors he put on I would get that it's the least expensive option out there.
