I have a 2008 Dodge 3500 diesel that I bought used. I keep getting a service soon see dealer. Went in to dealer and was informed that they couldn't do any thing because the cat and partical filter were removed. Took it to a private garage and they put the computer back to factory spec and then went in and deleted all the emissions. About a week later and now I am getting the same message again.

Service soon light on most vehicle, Is not the same as the check engine light. Service soon light most of the time means the computer notices an oil change is do, but that is for some vehicles, and I'm not to sure about your truck though but worth a try. so this light generally needs to get resets (generally after an oil change). Follow the owners manual, generally under oil change page should say something about how to reset it. If not look for a page that is under the service soon light section or just check in the chapter of the vehicle display which discribes all the lights on the dash bord. But if not correct then it is a check engine light and you got to find out what are codes.
