New battery dies overnight
I just bought this 92 cummins and it has a brand new Napa battery. It drains like overnight once you charge or jump it it fires up. Hooked up a draw light contraption that showed draw when lights ect are turned on and otherwise shows no draw when everything is off. Then hooked up a voltage meter and when I start the truck it charges really well but as soon as I turned the truck off the battery drains rapidly. This was happening before I bought this new battery. Someone metioned a crankshaft sensor does it sound like this could be my problem ? Or any other opinions...thanks in advance

Being that your rig is quite "seasoned", you could have a wire that is chaffed or insulation worn through causing contact with the frame, body, trans, engine etc...
The PITA is finding it. Also, dont rule out the alternator. It could be shorting out inside. Happened to me once, but on a 2000 chevy HD with a gas engine. Just tossing it out there.....

I will definitely start by checking the wiring and give you all an update. It was in the shop getting new bushings but now I have it back and can get my hands on it...!! I will check the alternator ground too
