Need more smoke?
I gotta 2006 Cummins 2500 Shortbed Laramie. I got it straight piped and a new airaid intake and filter. I can get good smoke goin but i need more. Im gettin about 18-19 mpg in the city and about 21-23 on the highway.
How the hell do i get more smoke? i dont have enough money for a chip or new turbo yet and i think i'm bout to get 6" bullhauler stacks. will the stacks add more smoke or do i need to save just a few bucks for the chip and new injectors.

Black smoke rollin just means that your pushin more fuel then you have air enough to burn. In your case you added the Air Rade intake which gives it extra air but no additional fuel to mix with it so you get less smoke. If want more put the stock intake back on it. If you really want to smoke you need larger injectors or the chip of some sort. A larger turbo will also decrease the smoke factor.
For once I'll skip the lecture on why smoke is not a good thing. Welcome to the site, glad to have ya and just wait till the bomb bug really bites ya. You ain't seen or felt nothin yet.

lots of black smoke is cool and fun but its un used fuel/power. but its a tuff argument, alot of high hp truck(except banks) rolls the smoke. my truck smokes pretty damn crazy but i would rather be rich than lean.
so get injectors and smarty, have fun and **** some people off
