Default no power and smokin

99 cummins 3500. Starts up and the idle revs up and down. Blows white smoke. The pedal is slightly dead. The truck had very little power. Any ideas? All stock. 170,000 miles. New fuel filter. Thanks People.

I can't find the Parker access valve to screw into the top of the canister housing. I know Its very important for the lift to stay stRong so I'm going to rEplace it. HopeFully that will solve my problem. I can't even find a diesel fuel pressure tester anywhere.

it doesn't have to be a "diesel" pressure tester

any fuel pressure gauge will work.

I highly recommend getting an isspro or autometer 0-30psi mechanical gauge, tapped banjo bolt, and 1/8NPT mate to female needle valve + 6' 1/8" napa air brake line.

makes for a nice reliable fuel pressure gauge. just barely open the needle valve a crack and it will act as a snubber to stop water hammer from beating your gauge up.
