I'd check injectors and the injector pump. Maybe check oil level also. My Power stroke did that when oil went low but oil also runs my injectors also not sure about dodges.

Ok, thanks guys! Sounds like I know what we will be doing first thing tmrw. I've did a little research today & it goes along with what you've said about the injectors/injector lines.

Dodges injectors don't run of the high pressure oil system like ferd. Had a 99, now I own a 04. Be careful if an injector went out or is going out and isn't diagnosed it can wipe out the cylinder then your talking rebuild.

Yeah, that's why instead of just driving it anyway I went ahead and parked it until we figured it all out.... Husband said that the front injector closest to the radiator is noticeably warmer than the rest of them....

Ha. I'd park it in the scrap pile. Good luck don't wreck it anymore.

This person is coming here for help. I don't go troll in the ford section. If you don't have anything helpful to say stay out. Im not sure what the one injector being hot could mean. Wouldn't think its good. If I wasn't at work I'd go out and take a picture of the clamps I'm speaking of for the injector lines. I'd try and get a diagnostics tool to get return and balance rates and go from there while Stoll leaving the injectors in.

You've been a huge help today! We are going to check the rest of the stuff you've mentioned tonight, tmrw morning. And we may possibly take it to a friends shop where he can look at it & put a computer on it just to see if it throws any codes out for us. I'll probably have it towed though, I would hate to do anymore damage.

Yes tow it.don't drive it. Or see if he can bring his stuff to your house. I'd try doing the basics first on your own if your husband feels comfortable doing so.
