hey has anyone used one of these cb mounts from geno's garage CB Mount for '94-'02 Dodge Ram trucks.-Geno's Garage

 

I have one of the older models, that has a hoop type support that braces to the floor. I have a Uniden PC78 Elite mounted on it. No problems with 6spd lever. I have no complaints with the CB mount. I like the looks of the new model. It looks like the CB would mount more vertical. May give room to use one of the console cup holders Geno's has.

 

thats exactly my question with my six speed i wanna now if it would get in the way of the console cup holder

 

Give Geno's a call. They can probably tell you. With the old mount, my radio sits at an angle and the face of the radio is about 3" above the top of the center seat. The new model looks like the radio is vertical , which would give more room at the front of the seat. In second gear, I have about 2 3/4" clearance between the shifter and the radio. If it was more vertical, there may be a problem. Source Automotive used to carry the CB mounts. Maybe they have a picture of the old style on their site for comparison. My radio is pretty large. Geno's say large radios may not fit. If you have a smaller radio, you should not have a problem.

 

well ill give it a try see how it goes idk how its gonna work out i have a short throw as well!
