I have a 2001 cummins that has been great so far! For the last month or so when I hit the unlock button on my keys the horn goes off like I hit the panic button. The first few times it happened I thought I accidentally hit the panic button. Then I made sure I hit the unlock and it did it again honking like crazy in the parking lot at work. Anybody had this happen? Ever heard of this? And more importantly how do I fix this irritating problem? Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

Umm I would try changing the battery in the keyless entry fob. Cause I've had some instances were it happend to me.. and also you might need to get it re programmed to the truck..just some ideas that have happend to me before

 

OK thanks I try that. I thought about trying to find a way to disarm the alarm some how. I'll try buying a new module first.

 

My 04 gasser the alarm was really weird... It would go off once in awhile.. but now my 06 cummins it has auto start n I havent had the panic horn go off yet.. n let us know what you find out!

 

As soon as I can get one I am buying a module so hopefully that will get it worked out. This is the first time I have ever had anything like this happen.
