Default ext or crew cab??

hi i have a 04 crew cab hemi looking to sell sometime and i realized i dont fill the cab to often but yet its nice to have. id like to get a 24v cummins like an 01 ext short box, or an 05 crew short box. both auto trans. truck pulls gooseneck with round bails, skidsteer trailer kind of whatever is needed, yet clean up on the weekends to play. truck for truck which is more bang for my buck. im talking power, mpg, cost of parts and so on... any input would be great thank you.
