Default need help? do i buy a 2012 or order a 2013

Guys,

I have been lurking here for the last month or so, but I need some help with a decision.
I have a 1500 hemi with 3.90 rear end.
I have decided, to upgrade to a Cummins for various reasons.

here is what i am looking at.

ST or SLT crew short box 4x4

i am looking for preferably 3.42 gears and limited slip.
here are my questions.

i would prefer to get rid of all the emissions stuff, but i also do not want to void the motors warranty & I live in Southeast Michigan.

with that said, are there certain dealers i should buy from that wont knock me for a dpf delete and such?
if not, am i better off going with the current emissions or ordering the 2013 with Urea injection?
Also, i want 3.42's for the many hikes up north i take unloaded and lightly loaded, but i do a lot of city so what gears are best for city gas mileage wise(unloaded)or does it matter?

Thanks a ton in advance and if there is anything you'd rather email me that is fina as well.

i hope to join you guys burning oil soon.

Go with the 2012 2500 4x4 with the manual trans and do the dpf and egr delete, cold air intake, mbrp 4" exhaust. You can add a chip to, to get better fuel mileage. The manual trans helps with mileage an towing. I would never buy a diesel thats automatic.
