I would like to recommend this book,
everything you need to know about calculations, flow rates and and gains:

Turbo, Real World High-Performance Turbocharger Systems written by Jay K. Miller, Car tech books, ISBN nr: 978-1-932494-29-7

Hopefully it is as helpful to you, as it was to me.
It covers in ten chapters everything from matching a turbo to your engine, rebuild and maintenance, failure analysis, tuning, building the engine,troubleshooting and anatomy of a turbocharger.
