I like the diamond plate mount and am going to copy that one. I already picked up the filter yesterday and wanted to say thanks for all the info it is a huge help.

I went one step further and custom fitted the airbox so the front fits against the front support and the bottom is radiused to fit the inner fender with about 1/2" on the bottom trimmed to allow the light harness to fit under it.
I also made the top wider to fit all the way to the fender inner side and the made a rear piece to close off the back.

Mine is 3 pieces held together with angle brackes and sheet metal screws....
This was necesitated so that I could pull my air filter - an AmsOil 4510 - which fits snug against the fender.

I need to get some nice rubber bends like RSWORDS has and get rid of the ends from the original rubber intake.....One of these days
