---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Here are the two pics i just got. my turbo is a hx35w on a 1996 ram 2500 cummins 12 valve

this one shows there is no boost elbow on the turbo

All right I did alil research and I learned something new! I am by no means a 12v expert, but the confusion is coming from the fact that there are two different ways the wastegate line is set up. On some there is a line from the AFC to the wastegate actuator, on others there is no line across the engine, just a short line from the turbo output to the actuator. Since you have the line going across your engine install the elbow on the tee at the rear of your injection pump where the line to the wastegate starts. Hope this helps!

Ok guys i just installed my guages (boost, pyrometer) and i have a question
What should my truck make for boost?
idk if my guage is messed up
it doesnt make any boost at an idle
and just going down the road it isnt make much if not any.
it olny makes it when i mash the go pedal it soars
but just driving at say 40 mph it says zero.
whats up with that

i got the fitting in the afc housing like your supposed to and the hose isnt kinked.
thanks

No boost at idle is norm... Depending on where you set the boost fooler at max I dunno. Stock is like 23-26? And boost all depends on the load on the engine, at 40 what are your rpms at? Is yours a 60lb gauge, they're not to sensitive down low. But on my truck at 70 I'm making about 10 - 12lbs.

yeah what he said going down the road at 70 you will only be making 8-12 psi, thats what mine is any how but if i just roll into it a little bit it will spike to 30 in no time so your fine

If there is no load on the engine your not going to make much boost. Install the elbow and yo should see around 28-30 psi.
