I received it back from Quad about a week ago with all the fancy firmware/software updates. They said the proper firmware wasn't loaded on it when it left the factory. They have been great to deal with!
I have to say that it has much more power than it did. I also like the ease of use. I haven't played with it that much, but I LIKE IT!

Did you have any surge before the update?

I did have surge before the update.
There is definitely alot of tuning that can be done.
High Idle delay does not make sense to me though. If it is off, high idle will come on, and will return to idle when I step on the brake. BUT when I have a time in the High Idle setting, the brake will not return it to normal idle.
Any ideas?

I think they disabled the brake pedal turning it off. Try tapping the accel pedal that should cancel it.

Cool.
I'll try that next time.
Thanks!

The reason your getting high idle with the high idle off on the Pulse is because you use to have a Smarty. The Smarty enables the factory high idle. So would you say the Firmware update took care of the Surge?

I see what you are saying- with the Smarty High Idle on, it will go back to Idle with the brake. If I have the ADR High Idle on, I will probably have to use the throttle to turn it off.
I do like the Smarty High Idle better because it has the 3 cyl idle when it is cold out. I don't know if the new ADR High Idle has that feature.

It did fix the surge on level 3 and lower. I will try it on higher levels today when I am on the highway.

I agree that the 3 cyl high idle is awsome but around here it very rarely if ever gets cold enough around here to get that cold. I guess I could install the mod to make 3 cyl idle kick in with the flip of a switch. Let me know who the truck does on the higher levels.

I'm still running the high idle and 3cyl warm up from my smarty. I don't use the settings from the adr. Hey Luke you still having problems with surge? Have you tried setting your pump stretch back? What tune are you running and what settings?
