yeah sorry nothin worked, let us know what you find out with that different scanner. By the way just a thought did your speedometer stop workin, mine had the ABS and brake light on and the speedo stopped workin and it was the speed sensor in the rear end that was bad.

Ok so I tried the other scanner didn't work so I went back and had my friend hook up to it again we got more codes today!!!!!! So I still have the 68 & 74..

Code 68 pump stall circuit fail (some thing in the brakes?)

Code 74 Driver control mode time out?????

The new codes are

Code 21 right front circuit failure

Code 25 left front circuit failure

My friend drove the truck while hooked up and found all speed sensors are reading differently but some times they read the same????

68 & 74 come back as soon as you start rolling (after clearing the codes) I am thinking it might be the front speed sensors now, but awhile back I posted about this and then the lights went off so I thought it was just a glitch or some thing well now its back so maybe some crud in there or some thing!!!! I don't freakin know.. My friend also brought up a good point about me changing tire size would that mess with it? It started awhile after I did the tire though.

And yes my speedo still works once I hit 50-55 is when it starts reading off 5mph or so.

IT'S TIME TO SELL THE DANG THING!!!!!!
I'm just kidding!!!! So that gives you guys some more info about those codes I am going to try some things and let you guys know if that fixes it..

check the rings that the sensors read off of they should be on the back of the hubs assemblies i think.

Did you check all the wires going to the sensors any little nick can throw them off, ALLDATA says to go over the wire harness real good for all the sensors and check for anything that looks pinched, chaffed, corroded etc. Thats for the 21 and 25 codes. Check the ABS module under the left side battery tray for any defects.

The 74 code says possible causes are: brake lamp not working, brake switch sense circuit open, brake switch sense short to ground, service brake switch defective.

I cant really find anything new on the 68. It has something to do with a pump/HCU that controls the ABS system it gots me baffled too. Im about drained hopefully someone else can help think of something.

Ok I am at a loss now.. I have gone over the harness and cleaned both front sensors and replaced the rear sensor, I have replaced a tail light that was out and checked the others... I disconnected the batteries for 30 min. and still did not turn off the lights!! Last Thursday some guy cut me off and I had to slam on my brakes and when I did that the truck went sideways and I slammed into the concrete median ant about 40mph. I got to thinking my abs didn’t work all the wheels locked up and that is what made me go sideways. So I tied it again today at about 25mph and same thing wheels locked up. Does any one know what I might be looking at to fix this now?? OH ya the truck is ok I LOVE THAT BUMPER!! I did have to put it in 4wd to get off it haha. Thanks again for the help!!!!!

do you have any friends that have the same year-ish truck that you could exchange front sensors with that are known to work? sounds like they kicked the bucket. new those are over $150 each at autozone so if you could borrow some to see if they fix it would be the first step if you could to eliminate those out of the equation......

the slamming on the brakes could of set off the 74 code, but im with ben find someone with the same year truck and swap em out id say any truck 98.5 to 2000 should work but you never know with dodge
