Was it P0068 and P0074 ?

If so i dont have anything for them

All I saw was 68 & 74 so I don’t know, it was with a new MATCO scanner I know one of the codes was for some module

go to autozone and have your codes read

Jazz 07-02-2008 09:30 PM

I have checked and don't see any 68 or 74. There were no other #'s?:humm: No idea. Let us know what you find out on this

the older ones were 2 numbers

Stored diagnostic codes can be displayed by turning the "ignition" key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON Within three seconds. The fault codes will flash on the "CHECK ENGINE" light located at about the 8:00 position on the tachometer face. This procedure works for the 94-96 12 Valve engines. The 97-98 12 valve and the ISB all require the DRB diagnostic tool to obtain trouble codes.
As an example, a 23 code would be indicated by FLASH, FLASH, PAUSE, FLASH, FLASH, FLASH. Multiple codes may be displayed, and the sequence always ends with 55. Green codes will light the CHECK ENGINE lamp when the engine is running.
CODE MEANS
11 No crank signal detected during cranking
12 Battery was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles (Resets after 50)
15 No vehicle speed/distance signal while driving
23 Intake manifold air temp sensor voltage too high or too low
24 Throttle position sensor voltage too high or too low (automatic only)
33 An open or shorted condition detected in the AC clutch relay circuit
34 Open or short in the Speed control solenoid circuits or
Speed control switch voltage too high or too low
37 Open or short in the Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT circuit or
Voltage high or low at transmission Temperature sensor
41 An open or shorted condition detected in the alternator field control circuit
42 An open or shorted condition detected in the Auto Shutdown Relay circuit
44 An open or shorted condition detected in the engine coolant temp sensor circuit or
A problem exists in the PCM battery temperature / voltage circuit
45 An open or shorted condition detected in the overdrive solenoid circuit
46 Battery charging system voltage too high
47 Battery charging system voltage too low
53 Internal PCM circuitry or communication failure
55 End of sequence. Last code sent to indicate the end of the codes.
62 SPI miles not being updated as vehicle travels
63 Unsuccessful attempt to write to EEPROM by the PCM

Is this on the truck in your sig? (2001)

01Diesel Bomb 07-02-2008 11:32 PM

Ya it is the truck in my sig sorry for not specifying, the other thing I saw was 3 of my wheels said they were at 3mph? I dont know what that means but the scanner said so??????????? I am stumped.......... :madd:

DB Admin 07-02-2008 11:36 PM

The Speed Sensor read outs on them scanners is very poor , i ran mine and it said my tires stoped 2 or 3 times when i was going 55MPH i wouldnt mind that at all , it must of been a good scanner to be reading that info , it should of gave you proper codes or maybe them are PCM codes and not ECM codes , you will need someone with a bilateral scanner to tell you what them are i recon

all i found on alldata was 068 and 074 which are ABS system codes. Something about the Pump Motor/HCU i have no ideas what this is maybe someone on here will, it says to check CAB connetors once again dont know what or where these are and to check fuses for the Pump Motor/HCU, sorry i know this probably doesnt help but i tried:humm:

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

ok did a little more digging the CAB is the controller for anti lock brakes it is mounted on driver side of vehicle right behind the PDC which is power distribution center or the fuse box i think, mounted on the fender. this could have a bad connection or it said the brake pedal sensor could have an open it or a short. there is hole bunch of stuff this thing could have ill keep digging on my breaks(im at work right now)and when i get home inthe morning and try to find something for ya.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

the different wheel speeds it says could be from the tone wheel(what the sensor get reading from) having defects in it.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

ok, the HCU is the hydraulic control assembly for the abs system, all data wont let me copy and paste there diagrams so. basically if you can find all these components just go over all the entire system and check all the connectors. \

the #74 code it said could of been set from riding your brakes, if you recently went down a long gradewith a load or even just down a grade empty and you had to ride your brake it said could of caused this.

there is a fusible link for the abs system in the fuse box its a big 40A one in the fuse box. I would definately check that first i could be that simple.

the hcu is right behind the fuse box there is 4 way connector on the bottom right hand side toward the engine check that for cleanliness.

Thats all i got hope i helped, check the fuse first
