ODRA/NADM Texas Diesel Roundup Oct 10
if i could i would build them, but i dont have the tools or the money at this time since im back in college again.
ive been to 3 events for sled pulling over the past years so u might be thinking of someone else, i would haven been to more but bs with waiting for parts and random stuff breaking or falling apart on me have been keeping me from events.

I will post ASAP...
and i'm hoping to get new heads, clutch, and traction bars put on my stroke, but that prolly wont happen..... hahahahaaha
thanks a lot!!! we just need to get it figured out as soon as we can b/c NONE of these trucks can be in work stock or 2.6 since they aren't street legal trucks and no reason to put them in 2.8. LoL. i sure hope that they have it b/c if not we will most likely not go.

Just a FYI: I run a duramax with a HT 66 and EFI Live and have done well the past 2 Pulls with nothing else other than having the safety equipment...except a transmission blanket which is required in TTTPA. (see: TTTPA ON THE WEB)
In Deleon, I couldnt pass tech to run in the only Diesel Class TTTPA offers "up to 2.8" because of the transmission blanket rule...which I will not run on my Street Truck (no trailer). I don't run above 4,500 rpms and the heat would be nuts on the Street...
I did compete in the Diesel Open Class (10,500lbs Class) "Run What Ya Brung" at Deleon I managed to pull off 3rd place even though I weigh 7800lbs and won $40 which payed for my entry fee and I still had a Great Time!!!
We hope that we see you there even if you can't pull in the particular class you want to...because the spectator/participation will show NADM why they should come back again next year.
*If you plan to compete in other meets here, hosted by a sanctioned association, and in other states (ie) Kentucky TS Outlaw you will need the safety equipment that is based off the NADM rules they are pretty universal.

goto a question about the hitch height in the work stock and 2.6 class. the ranch hand bumper i have wont let me run a good pulling hitch at a height above the reciever because the bumper gets in the way. Usually ive been putting the clevis on the ranchhand directly and its been alright to use in the workstock classes ive pulled.
but would i need to have one mounted in the reciever to pull in the 2.6 class?
and whats the mac hitch height i didnt see it listed on the NADM site.

Thought this might help: (if you need another option for the reciever)
2in reciever attachment made by Ranchhand for Ranchhand bumpers:

(*this is it but mounted to a Frontier Bumper)

scroll down a bit...

As of right now 9/25/09 an "Open / Run What Ya Brung Class"...won't be there according to Ron with NADM. The insurance won't allow it...(we are still pushing for it).

so whats the story on the drag racing?? there is going to be a "fun" class??? i know i read that somewhere. i don't know what safety rules would apply to my truck seeing as it only runs 15's. i'm hoping to break the 14's in crandall, but that is still SLOW.. LoL. not bad for 350hp though either.
Yes, there is a Fun Class for dragracing its called ET.
You will have no problem running in ET...Everyone has the potential to Win whether they are in the slowest or fastest truck out there, if your times are consistant.
At 14/15 seconds in the 1/4 the only safety concern that I know about would be the normal track concerns.

sweet. i read through the NADM drag rules and thats all i could gather as well. so isn't the fun ET class just a fun deal and you win no money out of it? i thought i read that too. sorry about all the questions. i will be there regardless i'm thinkin though. haha. thanks for helpin' me out!!!
Just talked to the Hampton management (Mesquite TX) and they said yes you can park semis and trailers there! You just get a card permit (free) from front desk and put into window - no problem - they even have an extra guard they can put by the trucks they said!
Call 800-Hampton or 972-882-1804 and ask for National Association of Diesel Motorsports block rate of $89 for reg rm or $109 for Suite (large w/living rm, kitchen)!

No, we payout for ET - cash purses!

If you want to join NADM you can sign up at the event.
For those that want to race but " dont have a fast truck" not a problem. We call that ET racing. The KEY on ET racing is CONSISTANCY. YOU run a few shakedown passes then dial in your time. ( slower than 12.00 sec) I will double check, but I think there is a "class" so to speak saturday morning behind the tower to go over the ET racing.
Bring your friends, buddies, and your buddies friends. The more people we get to show, the more likely there will be MORE events in Texas. Ive been all over. Ive been to the events in Baytown with DHRA. TEXAS DID NOT REPRESENT!!! Here is a second chance. Like I said grab a group of people and get to the track.

Serious guys, for those who have the diesels and always wanted to know what it is about?????
NADM will be holding a "Drag Class" for those wanting to run ET with expert advice on how to enter the sport and run to win.
Early Saturday morning behind the tower at 8:30 am! Please encourage all the guys bragging to come and try their skills at the track, ET you don't have to break your truck to win!
Get into the sport and run at the track not on the streets!
This action was suggested by the newly formed NADM Drag Racing Advisory Board (member) - great suggestion

for those that like to race on the street, blow smoke, and carry on, this is the TIME AND PLACE! The rules are more relaxed in ET. For a list of rules go to runnadm.com

If you want to run for money you have to be a NADM member.
I do believe there was/is talk about a non-member / no-money payout class of ET racing for $25...plus the $10 gate fee...dont quote me.
but for $15 more why not join NADM and have the opportunity to win $$$!!!
Its only $40 to join NADM,plus gate $10, which includes your choice to compete in 1 class of racing or sled pulling...if you want to compete for money and want to run in both a racing and sled pulling class add $30...
