I have a 1990 with a 460 in it,looking to swap a cummins in to. I found a 97 cummins motor with 67000 miles on it for$2800. good or bad it is complete

 

if its documented miles.... thats not bad at all.

 

is the 5.9 intercooled cummins 12 valve. Is this a good motor ,bad motor,able to modify? Found on e-bay really interested. Going to be going into a 1990 ford.

 

Its a great motor! Its definitly on the top of my list with the power it puts out and the simplicity of everything. One of the best things about it is that you can get a lot of free power out of it with a little wrenching. I'm currently working on swapping a 94 12v into my 97 f250 which previously had a 7.3 in it. One thing you'll have to think about is that it is a lot of money to do a swap and takes a bit of time. Best of luck to you
