Question Need input on building a go kart using a three cylinder yanmar

Well while working on my new intake for my 6.0, I got to thinking that I would like to use one of these little three cylinder yanmars out a thermo king unit to make a go cart or street buggy. I will build my own frame which won't be an issue. I guess I need ideas as to where I could resource the other components like a transmission, steering, ideas for suspension, brakes. Fabricating isn't an issue. So just throw some ideas out here for me.

Here's the only things I've thought of so far:
Turbocharger
Start it on number two diesel and run off of waste vegitable oil

I'd like to make this thing street legal, 2x4, and capable of moving around 55 on the road

Thanks in advance guys.

1.Get your will in order
2.Send pics of the build and finished buggy
Actually, that sounds like a cool project, google SandSportsMagazine, they always feature a lot of buggies and have many buggy part manufacturers as advertisers. It's been a while since I've picked up an issue, I guess their still in business You never know these days. Oh well, good luck with your build, and keep us updated

race-dezert.com classifieds for a tranny combo. advance adapters may make an adapter plate that will fit the engine and trans combo your looking for. i would suggest a mendola tranny with the cv outputs on the side, then you have the capability of going with an IRS style rear end... could be a bad *** project man! let me know if you need any help as this request is right up the alley of what i do for a living.
