Both are floor shift models (the ones I have anyway)

Can put either behind the cummins/nv5600. Anyone have an opinion on which is stronger?
If it matters, one is behind 7.3/auto, 1999 model, dually ford.
The other, cummins, nv5600, 3/4 ton, late 2000 dodge.
Have driveshafts/yokes to hook up either way, just interested in which is stronger, if either one is.

 

I used the 273 just to save some $$$. I kinda wondered the same thing though. Guess I never heard of any 271/273's not handling gobs of torque from both p/s and cummins

here is how the number system works


first digit is how many speeds 2 = 2 speed
second digit is strength the higher the number the stronger
3 rd digit 1= manual shift 3= electric shift
