Default F250 Duramax

Have been looking this up, and can't find a single person who has ever done this. If my 7.3 takes a ****, I don't want to rebuild it, or replace it with a cablummins. Has anybody heard of doing this swap? I know where to get a good priced engine, and I could make mounts, but the electrical part would be over my head.
I like the 6.6 from say power and fuel Econ, so that would be my first choice.

What do you guys think bout this?

I say go for it sounds like it would be cool the biggest problem I see is getting the dash to work and tranny could be a problem unless you just put an Allison in it

I hate cummins, and love the duramax motor. Lots is guys have them around here, drove lots of them. And yea, the dash would be the biggest thing and getting the 4x4 to work, and for the tranny I would put either an Allison or a zf6 in.

Just because you problably lost every race or pull to a cummins is no reason to hate the motor. LOL

^^ keep the BCM and making the chevy/GM dash work would be a snap

otherwise putting in a duramax into a ford would be awesome. this would prove whether the duramax or power stroke is better. take the weight of the chassis out of the equation

No? A lot of people around here have problems with their cummins. Wether it be their 12v leaking every fluid known to man or the 24v not being able to pump fuel, I just don't like the cummins nor the truck they put them in. I just want to beat off with broken glass when I hear a straight piped cummins, so that would make it hard for me to drive it.

But anyways, that's here nor there, not a hate thread!

And yea, I was thinking along the lines of an lb7 block with lbz heads to eliminate the injector problems, then going from there.

And how would somebody make all the dash work b/c it would be all electronic correct?
