Default Fummins fuel return line/tank vent ???

Doing a 5.9 swap in my 1985 F350 4x4 and was wondering how the fuel tank is vented. I have the factory main feed line that will go to the lift pump, then there is a smaller steel line that went to a charcoal canister up front, is this small line how the tank vents, can it be used for a return line???? Thanks for your help

It was a gas truck.. I pulled tank out today to inspect and get all the gas out. There is a vent on the top but that originally went to the charcoal canister up front so I will keep that as a vent may try to braze an extra tube in the sending unit as I can remove that from the tank so no big boom...

the lid that you want to braze to I am betting it is stainless if you want to do anything run some stainless tubing and tig it or drill a hole in tank and run a line that way

This is how mine is setup...

The factory in tank pump is in the truck. Power is cut to the pump, but still goes to the fuel level sender. I made my own pickup tube for the send line, I believe it is a copper brake line that runs down the length of the pump. For the return line I ran it into one of the old lines that went into the pump, but cut out a section of the line inside the tank so the fuel could freely flow out. The vent line still runs to the engine compartment; the charcoal canister is gone, but the line has a filter on it to keep dirt out.

Found the solution for my return line.. Went to Summit racing and found a bulkhead an-6 fitting and a 90 degree an-6 to barbed adaptor. NO welding or brazing on a tank that had gas in it but still have to drill a hole... Anyone make a brass drill bit?? HEE HEE
