Default 88 Cherokee Swap

So I was thinking about swapping a 4BT into an 88 Cherokee I have sitting at the house. Any thoughts, opinions, or suggestions?

Plan on custom fabricating a complete front sub-frame for it if you're talking about an XJ. The spot-weld laminated sheetmetal stampings that make up the uni-frame of the XJ won't hold up to the weight, torque, and vibration of a 4BT.

Now if you're talking about the older full-size Cherokee - a.k.a. Wagoneer, those have a full frame and most came with a 360 V8. A 4BT will drop in with much less fabrication and it will hold up much better.

I'm a big fan of the XJs - I currently own 3 of them and have worn out/scrapped 2 more. I put a 4.3 Olds V6 diesel in one, and it has taken a HUGE amount of fabrication. And the Olds doesn't have NEAR the power or weight of a 4BT...
