94 12valve going into a 94 f250
Yes, it's the turbo on my powerchoke. It's a hypermax upgrade, but no one wants to buy it around here. I was just throwing the idea around since I already had it. The cummins turbo I don't think it's bad but I have not done a end play test on it. I will probably just use the factory turbo for now though.
Aside from the exhaust housing, the size would work with 5x.014 injectors, but the H2e's are know for not liking abuse and breaking shafts, you'd be better off spending money on another one later down the road.
You said earlier this was on a powerstroke? If its an upgrade for it, I'd try selling it to some 7.3 owners. I looked on the Hypermax website and they run for $2400 brand new, no way you're getting that out of it, but you should be able to get some. Throw it on the classified on here, and put it on Craigslist too.
It depends... I've heard of overtorqued factory head bolts holding 60-70lbs consistently, and I've heard of HG's blowing at 40lbs too. You're rebuilding the engine aren't you? Make sure to get the head decked, having a flat head will make a big difference in whether or not blow a HG.
Yes I'm building it, I have had the head reworked and decked, cost me 500. How much over torqued are the bolts, not looking for 60psi probably 30 or 40 max. Don't have the funds for a race truck, I'm just trying to make the power that the powerchoke has
I want to say 140lbs? But I could be wrong. If you're looking into a cheap upgrade for the head bolts, Tony @ Mighty Diesel sells a set of 12mm head bolts for $130, they're what I'm running. I have been fairly easy on mine, but when I get my timing bumped up I'm really going to put them to the test. About 18* of timing and probably 35lbs of boost.
Will you be using the factory turbo? Haven't found a very helpful link on advancing the timing one thing I am hoping to do when I get my 4gsk.
Yes I will be running electric fans, hoping to keep the tranny and t case in their stock location.

I looked in my book? It torques to 93 ft lbs. What do the mighty diesel head bolts torque to?
