47rh
Putting a 47rh behind my 12v in the 66 and need some clarification.
For controlling the lock up and Od I understand I can simply put switches on the dash to turn the features on or off correct, and with both in the off mode it will function like a regular 3 spd 727?
Now my question really lies in when do I turn those on or off? In town I plan to use it in "727" mode, but when do I power up the lock up and od, is it by a particular speed, engine rpm, can they both be flipped at the same time? Reading this it sounds like some stupid rookie questions but I just don't know the answers. I have spent a lot of time reading about the pressure switches and activating at certain speeds and deactivating at others but it seems to me this is more related to engine rpm and gearing/tire size than speed. Want this simple and want to use the manual switches.
Thanks in advance.

dont use the damn lock-up switch. it isnt good on any parts of your tranny IMO. i have OD off almost all of the time. the sweet spot rpm wise for me is about 1700rpms and around town it goes into OD way earlier than i would like. so to answer your question flip your switch when you are crusing in 3rd running a bit over 1700 rpms so you can benifit from the OD the most.
