Hi! Newbie here with a '99 F550 and a 12v, love the truck have about 10k miles on the swap so far, cummins has an H1E turbo on it, not sure of the measurements but I'm sure it has an 18cm or larger exhaust housing on it, I haven't modified this engine at all other than adjusting the starwheel some. I do not like my turbo lag at a stop sign or intersections and yesterday at the local boneyard I found a 12v in a schoolbus with an HX-35 reman turbo on it, I know the owner and he said he would trade even up all I have to do is reassemble his engine with my turbo. Question is will this get me what I need? I know the smaller exhaust housing with wastegate will spool much quicker and since I'm not looking for 600 h.p. it seems like I would benefit a lot. My truck weighs 15,800 lbs all day every day, I'm not upset with the power it has but would like to spool quicker and have better shifting. Thanks in advance for your replies. JW
