i was wondering if anyone has ever put a 2.2 isuzu diesel motor into a jeep wrangler. if so what all did you need for the swap?

 

That would be an awesome driver I think

 

The only swaps i seen was 4bt and now the vw tdi.

 

I've seen a couple Isuzu diesels in various Jeeps. I think the 2.2 is a little low on power for a Wrangler though. Maybe if it's the turbo version, but still it's less than 100hp from what I've read. Who knows though. Maybe with a little tuning and t lot of gear it might not be too bad. The 1.8 and 2.2 na engines seem to work out well in the early CJs, like pre-70 types.
