93 6.5 swap into 84 gasser
I am planning on putting a 6.5 out of a '93 chevy 3500 into my '84 silverado that currently has a 350 gasser in it. Has anyone done this swap and do you have any tips before i get started?
easy cheesy.
exhaust pipes will need a little work to fit up to the manifold, motor mounts should swap out, same bell housing.
so, just need to figure out the coolant hoses, possibly a diesel radiator to deal with the newfound heat. and the fuel system, new lines, pump and or tank...i think it should be a bolt in swap type of deal with the right parts donor. & the electrical i'm not sure of..but it should pretty simple compared to the newer 6.5, as it should have a mechanical ip. and a throttle cable/possibly a pedal assy...
i think it would be one of the easiest gas/diesel swaps out there.
