ok my conversion

99 f350 98 12v cummins nv4500 would like to use a 273 transfer case


I traded the ford 271 for a dodge 273 from a 04 it had a 6 spd so it has a 24 spline and I need a 29 spline does any one know where I can get a new input shaft to switch it over and also does any one have the wiring diagram for this transfer case

if I can find a input for this my np241 dhd will be for sale has new bearings and seals

 

Allstate gear in San Antonio TX, $165. You could've used your ford 271. To use a 273 in a 271 truck might be a headache. The 273's use an electric module behind the glovebox, but the 271 trucks might have them too. I didn't realize the 6spd went to 24 spline. Dodge didn't start putting the 271/273's in till 03 and I think the 6spd was the only manual offered so I think your tcase is from an auto, they wouldn't even make a 29 spline gear for the 271/271 if the 6spd was a 24 spline (I could be wrong, God knows I have been before!!!)

 

thanks I ordered one I found out that is an actual dodge part called my local dealer and found that they wanted 260+ freight what a rip off

I also found on the ford forum where they are turning the 273 into a modified and making it a manual shift it looks easy I took my elec shift apart yesterday just trying to figure out how to have the arm come out and still hit all 3 bolt holes
