I'm just finishing up on my p pump/12v into 97 suburban. I also did a D60 front and 1 ton rear, dumped the auto and went nv4500. It is a major undertaking in the obs, and I would imagine that your nbs would be as tight or tighter. Did I say it was a tight fit? I've been working on mine since May 16th, although I haven't spent every free minute working on it. Also helped my son with his 12v into 93 S10.
I guess the single biggest asset will be either........you have good fab skills, or....you need lots of cash. I can't comment directly to any particular issues for a nbs. A lot of guys I see that do this kind of swap leave out the details such as they now have no cruise, antilock brakes, air conditioning, etc. I wanted to keep all the above, and that is what makes for an extremely tight engine compartment.

mine is more than tight as well. i have all of the options stated above still working. before you even comsider the swap, you need to check your local regulations. most states will not allow a medium duty diesel engine in a 1500 or 1/2 ton truck such as CA is one of them.

after my swap and all the time/money/headache. i could have almost bought a brand new truck for the same money with less hassle. and my mechanical knowledge/fab skills are far above the average person.
