Default om 617 oil leak at ip

the om 617 in my truck has leaked oil since I put it in, but it has always been a little here and there from the lower oil pan gasket but recently it started leaking quite a bit more. I got under it to investigate and it looks to have sprung a leak between the injection pump and the motor. i checked and all the ip mounting nuts are tight. is that an o ring or a gasket and does anyone know what all is involved in fixing it? any help would be appreciated. It's a gasket and removal of the IP is required.

Nothing, just need to reset the timing when done.

Have you ruled out the valve cover gasket as this is more common. If you do remove the IP I believe there is an MB tool for locking the pump. I wish I had more details, these are vauge recollections so google them up.
