OM617 advancing injection pump question
What is the easiest way of going about adjusting the injection timing? I know you have to loosen the 3 bolts and then tilt the injection pump towards the drivers side. but there has to be more to it i just don't know what. any help will be appreciated

Tilting it towards the drivers side will retard the timing. I used the drip method, cutting up an extra line and bending it to the shape required. Follow the instructions in the manual. I am currently running 27 btdc. It has way more low end, but sounds more like a cummins at idle.

I have been searching for a free manual for a while. Thanks.
first i marked the pump and block to show were it was before then losened the three flange bolts and the back bolt by the filter housing and turned the pump twards the motor. the mark on the block and pump are only about a 16th of an inch difrence but it is faster now. the down side is i think my fuel milage is suffering from it. not to sure since my speedo doesnt work.
Would somebody who has the manual please post it, again? I just found this thread (and need the manual), but the link to the manual is old.
(Yes, old thread, but resurrecting it seemed like the best course of action.)
