Hello usedkabotaman: I've been following the threads for a while, and putting together a pile of parts and sources. And I want to pass on some of it. I have a source for some unused 2203 DI non turbo engines. Bobcat style oilpan, NO starter, flywheel, or Bellhouseing. Otherwise complete engines. All for $4000.00. "Ouch!!! But it is UNUSED" Yellow68gto has some really cool trans adapters that will allow direct bolt up of chev, ford trans, and flywheel and their respective starter.

The serpentine belt system worked great, no vibrations or other issues. I’ve included a link below to Youtube that contains a short clip of the engine running. Putting it in the truck tomorrow, more pics and videos to come.

One plate is 3/4" and the other is 7/8", the 7/8" has the larger hole. I can't remember the grade right off but it is an alloy.

Oil pan and engine mounts complete. The pan holds 4 quarts itself and then there will be about 2-3 quarts above the pan.

No don't think so, the Autozone site says they are "both natural and SBR (Styrene Butadiene) rubber". They are from a 2005 GMC Envoy, $7.00 each at my local pull-your-own-part. They were a total pain to make work!

The motor mounts look new in the photo. They are used?
I see Rock Auto has them for $15 and $27 each new. O'Reilly wants $72 each.
You said those mounts were a pain. Would you use them again or look for a different style mount? They are a similar style to what the 4BT guys are using.

The oil pan looks nice. I will use your photos for a guide when I start mine.

Yep the motor mounts are used but they do look new. Maybe they were replaced before the doner truck was junked. I would use them again even though they were hard to fit. They are big, probably a little overkill, which I hope reduces some of the vibration I get in my IDI truck. I used the original S-10 mounts in it (see pic). They failed pretty quickly letting the support bolt come to the top of the rubber essentially riding metal to metal.

I just replaced the stock mounts in the ranger the other day and am HATING them! I thought the old ones were giving up, but these are way too stiff. That's why I was asking if they were liquid filled, these aren't and suck. So it's take them out and try something else!

hey Kubotaman, is this anything like the mounts you used on your first truck?? From what I can tell they fit lots of Fords, including the F350 with a straight six, Which should weigh about as much as the Kubota
