S-10 Kubota Diesel Conversion
If anyone needs an adapter plate for the 2203 to ford/Mazda m5od-r1 and is ready to pull the trigger on the purchase let me know. The guy who made them for Aaron is wanting to make several while the machine is set up
The price for one is 510$ plus tax and shipping he has not told me what it would cost to make duplicates while it is set up. He will be cutting mine next Wednesday so you'd have to be on board quick. His name is Steve with CWF Mfg. Cookeville TN 931-526-5105. My name is Elliot Schneider. I guess.call him and talk to him. You will still have to machine and index your flywheel too
Kabanger or anyone else you are all more than welcome to email me at eschneiderexcavating@hotmail.com. I have tons of photos and helpful resources

Welcome Ranchwest! Turning down the Kubota flywheel, depending on which on you have, is pretty straight forward. The one I'm using is heavy, real heavy, would be better if it was thinner so the engine would build RPM's faster, but works just fine. I'm using the original GM 5 speed trans and indexed the GM pressure plate to the Kubota Flywheel. I believe there are pics early in the thread of the flywheel and transmission.

Question: kubotaman, what do you mean by indexing the pressure plate to flywheel? Thanks in advance
been watching this thread for awhile and i must say, usedkubotaman you have done some high quality work there! FTE and redveloce I like y'alls setup as well (saw them a few times on 4btswaps). There is a wealth of info here for someone wanting to do this swap.

"An indexing head, also known as a dividing head or spiral head, is a specialized tool that allows a workpiece to be circularly indexed; that is, easily and precisely rotated to preset angles or circular divisions".
Joined Diesel Bomber today. Because of this thread. Thanks to one and all.
Bumped by here a few times when searching things diesel.
But until today when reading how this topic has real legs.
Count me in.
I have a 2006 Econoline super duty with a 6.0. And love it. Have gotten 22.7MPG as a best.
But I know there is real economy out there – and you guys are on to something!
My plan
Just purchased a Kubota D1402-DI-AE engine off E-bay. That was removed from of a Tractor.
At 1.4 liters it is smaller than what you guys have done. But after taking your advice and working on the Injection pump. And adding boost. I am planning a nice DD.
I am a bit a worried about having enough power to be a highway cruzer.
But I am going for it.
Will need to keep it light! Thinking standard cab short box 1998 & up Ranger body.
Attempting to go low buck simple. With real world every day usage.
Using a T-50 Toyota 5-speed (I already have 3 of them, and they are cool).
And thinking about a roots super charger (like the one I have on my MR2). To maximize what diesels do best. Low RPM Torque.
