Default oM617 OIL COOLER ?

well I have put around 500 miles on my 95 S-10 with no problems so far.
I am running the stock oil cooler for the 4.3 s10 and have read that that could be a problem.
If my oil temp was high my water temp would go up but fan switch is set at on at on at 180 and off at 200 and has never gone over 200. So should I worry or not that is my question.

I have driven my Benz powered Cherokee for 9-10 mo as my DD and don't think the oil has ever circulated through the Benz oil cooler, it only circulates above 220 deg oil temp or there abouts. BTW the water temp went down when I advanced the IP timing, runs way cooler now.
