New to the group and am considering doing a swap. I currently have a 84 300d and a 01 F250 PSD. I have making biodiesel for several years and have hed pretty good luck with it. I live in the central part of New York. The winters here are endless and snowy. I currently have available a 85 300d witha good engine and tranny and a 90 Jeep Cherokee 5 speed. Most of my driving is going to be mostly in town and some highway. Im wont be doing any rock crawling or real serious off roading although the snow can be challenging at times.

Does anyone have any better suggestions? I need something that I can ave a little fun with but use as the " Family Truckster".

Just to clarify:

The OM617 will bolt to the Ax - 15 with the available adapter plate?

There is a clearance issue with the oil sump- but can be avoided with a lift or modified pan?

There is a drop needed with the pitman arm?

No pan mods needed if it is placed in the right fore/aft position. Yes a lift is needed 3in min. Yes the steering and trac bar need mods to clear, there are more than one way to get the job done. There are at least two build threads on Cherokee's with this motor, mine being one, check them out.
