Default OM617 repower vacuum questions

Does this agree with what you have done on your jeeps?

I dont think you should remove vacuum stuff you pointed to. I know it reduces the amount of vacuum somehow. I will try to find a thread I read about it. I left those sensors in but neither are hooked up now. The H20 sensor is near middle of block by the Injection pump. I never saw an OM617 that clean.

I've been surprised as from your pictures it appears you perform the swaps without washing off the motors. Only takes a cheap spray can of engine cleaner, a pressure washer and 15-20 minutes. I do it while its still hanging on the cherry picker. Sure keeps the hands and clothes cleaner.

Thanks deck60 - any way to access the pictures a little larger as I can't read them even after clicking on the thumbnail.

What have you guys done successfully who have repowered toyotas and jeeps with manual transmissions? Seems like almost all of the vacuum stuff can leave other than the shutdown switch?

Thanks - PM sent.

I follow peachparts and there is a lot of knowledge there also. Nobody's flamed me there yet on my repower questions.
