Does this agree with what you have done on your jeeps?

Also curious as to what you guys did with the temp sensors?

I dont think you should remove vacuum stuff you pointed to. I know it reduces the amount of vacuum somehow. I will try to find a thread I read about it. I left those sensors in but neither are hooked up now. The H20 sensor is near middle of block by the Injection pump. I never saw an OM617 that clean.

I've been surprised as from your pictures it appears you perform the swaps without washing off the motors. Only takes a cheap spray can of engine cleaner, a pressure washer and 15-20 minutes. I do it while its still hanging on the cherry picker. Sure keeps the hands and clothes cleaner.

Thanks deck60 - any way to access the pictures a little larger as I can't read them even after clicking on the thumbnail.

What have you guys done successfully who have repowered toyotas and jeeps with manual transmissions? Seems like almost all of the vacuum stuff can leave other than the shutdown switch?

deck60 02-10-2011 10:58 AM

yes pm me your email and I will send you directly

I have lots for mb stuff for these engines I found a place that you can buy anything for these engines reasonably priced you need to be aware benzworld these guys are true stock no mods kinda boring to me they even argue about factory batteries versus aftermarket they do have a wealth of info they know these engines inside upside down and backwards they are just all about the stock I posted on there about my s10 mod and they wanted to know why I wasn't fixing up the old car god bunch just stock nuts
