Hello, Im new to the forums and had a few questions.
I have a 92 Dodge dually with 5.9 in it. Im parting out the truck
but Im keeping the engine to swap in my 95 Chevy 1500.
What parts from the dodge will I need to transfer to the chevy?
The truck is complete. Im taking everything I need first.
Also i plan on swapping in a nv4500 should I buy a dodge one or a chevy one?
Im doing a sas at the same time so I need a transfer case solution as well unless I can use
the 241c I have behind my 4l60e. The final question I have is is it necessary to use a gear vendor
with the 4500?
FYI: Im fabricating a front half frame out of 4" square tubing to get a good amount of articulation with the sas.
I will incorporate the 5.9 in that frame work.
Im going to use all the factory sheet metal and a custom core support for intercooler and radiator.
Just thought I would relay that part of the plan to people so they understand the frame will not be an issue.
