Default recommend water separation filter?

anyone running a water separation filter?

I'm planning on taking trips to mexico, and have some concerns regarding the quality of diesel south of the border.
I have found a few kits, even some that have reusable filters

Anything in the 80gph range sould be good...right?

any input/recommendations are appreciated.

As far as I know every diesel has a fuel/water separator and drain of some sort unless it has been modified and removed. Sometimes it's a buit in drain and other times it's a part of the filter, but ya you definitely need something.

Racor (Parker filtration) makes some nice filter/seperators.

Of you could just get a filter head and add a filter and seperator. Something like this but you could do it cheaper:

any thoughts on a fram/Baldwin/caterpillar setup?

found a few references around these and really like the international availability, along with replacement costs
