Thought some of you might dig this.

Me and my Brother in-law started this about a month ago.

We started off with 1957 chevy longbed stepside 1/2 ton
We wanted to make it a shortbed dually and add non other than a new diesel!

So with everybody in the world doing Cummins swaps. we wanted to do a D-Max
Found a Totaled 2500 HD here in CO had 90k on the clock and got it for 5gs. and that was running and driving!!! had not front clip but starts runs and drives.

We also found a completely re-done all new shortened dually frame!

So so far we have got the motor and trans mounted in the new frame. Made motot mounts from scratch, tig welded them in moved a tranny cross member to the right spot.

I will post pics! right now i have non. My camera is at his house. to do all the documenting.

But it should be sweet! Hope to have her done by june next year.

Well sorry for he no pics! Haha But i finally have a video or two.

BUt the truck is running and driving. We have to put it all back together.

But we have modified all the stock dash to fit.

Best part is it will be like a new truck. Power steering works. ac/ will work.

Hey Dude, I think that it looks GREAT so far! Keep us posted!!

 

Well the truck is just going back together piece by piece. The interior out the 03 has been heavily modified but fits great and is all in there.

We now just have to find Tranny cooler, radiator, and intercooler. and make them all fit.

Its comming along hope to have her done by July

 

Any updates? New Pictures? Looks great so far.

 

That 1957 chevy stepside is a great looking body style! Can't wait to see the finished version.

 

I like thinking out of the box, great job. keep us updated on progress.
